A Different Kind of Wedding | Allen & George's Intimate NYC Celebration at Hex & Co. & Tiki Chick

A Wedding That Felt Like Them

One of the things we love most about photographing weddings is seeing couples create a celebration that reflects their own personalities instead of following traditions.

Allen and George did exactly that.

Rather than choosing a traditional wedding venue, they invited their closest family and friends to celebrate at Hex & Co., a cozy board game café on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

The atmosphere immediately felt different—in the best possible way.

There were no grand ballrooms or elaborate decorations.

Instead, there was laughter, conversation, and genuine connection.

Every guest became part of the experience.

Hex & Co.

Located on the Upper West Side, Hex & Co. is known for its extensive collection of board games, warm atmosphere, and welcoming community.

It provided the perfect setting for an intimate celebration where guests could interact naturally throughout the evening.

Rather than rushing from one event to another, everyone had time to slow down, play games together, and simply enjoy being present.

It reminded us that weddings don't need to be extravagant to be unforgettable.

Sometimes the most meaningful moments happen around a table surrounded by the people you love.

The Celebration Continued at Tiki Chick

As the evening continued, the celebration moved to Tiki Chick, a neighborhood favorite known for its creative cocktails and laid-back atmosphere.

The relaxed environment perfectly matched Allen and George's vision for the day.

Friends gathered over drinks, shared stories, laughed together, and celebrated without a strict timeline.

It felt less like a formal reception and more like an unforgettable evening spent with the people who matter most.

Every Wedding Is Different

There is no single way a wedding should look.

Whether your celebration takes place in a luxury ballroom, a rooftop overlooking Manhattan, a cozy café, or your favorite neighborhood bar, your wedding should reflect your story.

Allen and George reminded us that authenticity will always be more beautiful than tradition.

It was an honor to document such a meaningful day.

Congratulations again to both of you.
