Roosevelt Island Engagement Session | Amy & Wonsik | New York City
There are places in New York City that feel like they exist outside of time — and Roosevelt Island is one of them. With the Manhattan skyline stretching endlessly in the background and the quiet hum of the East River nearby, it was the perfect setting for Amy and Wonsik's engagement session.
From the moment we met, it was clear these two have something truly special. The way Wonsik looks at Amy, the way she laughs when he says something only she finds funny — those are the moments we live for as photographers.
We explored the southern tip of the island near the ruins of the Smallpox Hospital, wandered along the waterfront promenade, and let the late afternoon light do what it does best. Roosevelt Island has this incredible quality of light — open sky, no tall buildings blocking the sun — and it made every frame feel cinematic and effortless.
Amy and Wonsik are getting married next year at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and we simply cannot wait. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding day is going to be absolutely breathtaking. The garden setting will be a stunning backdrop for two people who bring so much warmth and joy to every moment.
Congratulations, Amy and Wonsik. See you at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. 🌸
